About Us

Founded in 1922 by Charles Maynard on the present site of our Cape Town head office, No. 80 Shortmarket Street. The original two story building was reconstructured in the 1950s to the six story building that appears today and is totally occupied by Maynards Office Technology.

Maynards Office Technology is a family owned and run business, management is in its 4th generation. The company has branches in Johannesburg, Durban and Port Elizabeth with approximately 40 dealer distributors throughout Southern Africa to supply and afford technical backup outside these main centres. The company concentrates largely on the importation of a wide range of office machinery from European and Far Eastern countries.

Maynards enjoy a very close co-operation from their dealer network to whom is afforded the 6 year commitment of availability of spare parts. (Full 6 year commitment can be viewed on our home page)
